Okay, I got my iPod today. It’s lovely. I partially forgive you, Overstock.com. Don’t do it again.

I bought an FM transmitter thingy through Amazon but I probably won’t get that for another week. Oh well. I am on the lookout for cases though. This trashy romance novel case is amusing, but a bit impractical for my needs. I might get an ifrogz though. Or, I am get nothing. Who knows with me. If I could sew, I would craft my own (maybe).

After ripping my whole CD collection this week, I’ve realized there are a number of CDs I want to part with. I think I’ll take a trip up to Lou’s Records and get some things I actually want to listen to. I made an artist list this time. For some reason, whenever I am in a music store I can never freakin’ remember what artists I like. It’s like I get some kind of music brain freeze. It’s annoying.

I got my iPod today… well, sort of. I got the box from Overstock.com, happily opened it to find… no iPod. There was a cd, a manual, some headphones and a power cable… and that’s it. I called Overstock to complain and the guy informed me that they would have to “track it down” and that it could take up to 10 days for them to find it I guess. At that time, they’ll let me know, and I can then have it replaced or some such. Sigh.

I was a happy little consumer today. I went to the mall. I don’t really like going to the mall, but it had to be done. I needed some additional pants for my work clothes collection and I was successful in my mission. I actually bought “crop” pants, which are just the right length for me. I tried on some “capri” pants that were supposed to cut off at the ankle – haha, they were too long. I also had a hot dog on a stick and some lemonaide. Mmm. A few minutes ago, I bought an iPod. I festered over that for a few days. It seems to take me awhile to make larger purchases for things, except for my car. It look me a few weekends to find a car, but I did buy the first (and only) car I test drove. The iPod I drooled over for about a week (or more). Oh yes, it will be mine. As soon as it arrives at my house in 5 to 10 days.

Is it bad that I want an iPod accessory for an iPod I haven’t bought yet (but really intend to… soon, I hope)? See, I want that. I bet you could guess which one I want. Oh wait, they one I want is already sold out. Sigh. This has turned out to be a worthless post. But I’m going to hit publish anyway.

At work, they have lots of different flavored creamers for your coffee. I find this exciting. Also, we can leave early on Friday. That just about makes up for the dress code.

My first day of work was adventurous. I reported to the wrong person, I accidently turned off my computer (I was moving the tower and hit the back power switch, oops) and Dreamweaver crashed on me bunches of times before it decided I really was a nice person and that it should start working for me. First days always fly by pretty fast, so it went well. The downsides: business casual dress code (ie: no jeans, no t-shirt, no flip-flops) and Big Brother is ALWAYS watching your computer, so stay on task, missy! There was a guy who started today as well, in my same department, who lives probably half a mile from me. We both ended up at the same bagel place for lunch, on accident. I found it amusing.
