first day

My first day of work was adventurous. I reported to the wrong person, I accidently turned off my computer (I was moving the tower and hit the back power switch, oops) and Dreamweaver crashed on me bunches of times before it decided I really was a nice person and that it should start working for me. First days always fly by pretty fast, so it went well. The downsides: business casual dress code (ie: no jeans, no t-shirt, no flip-flops) and Big Brother is ALWAYS watching your computer, so stay on task, missy! There was a guy who started today as well, in my same department, who lives probably half a mile from me. We both ended up at the same bagel place for lunch, on accident. I found it amusing.

Yum. Daytime scrabble hours. My work issue with software this week = I haven’t used MS Access that much recently. They moved a new machine to me, moving over my files. Except that they didn’t register access. And the old machine is already in use. This office guy was like “You don’t really need it.” It’s on order, and I’ll be able to do my work someday.
