I had to train someone at work today. It was a little weird, since I’ve never had to train anyone before and it was pretty much a surprise in my inbox from my manager, who was out sick today. Plus, my trainee’s computer programs kept crashing all morning, which made it a bit difficult to show him how to do things so he could learn. Plus, I was nervous at first, but I got over it. I hope I have trained him well and that I’m not a horrible trainer!

I had to fax something today to my car insurance company. I don’t usually ever have to use the fax machine otherwise and thank god I don’t. When they rearranged the printer/fax/copier set up, they put the fax machine up high. High enough that I can not really see the buttons that well, due to my shortness. I was not about to ask someone to help me fax something either. I was able to see well enough by standing on my toes at least. According to my mother, the cause of my stunted growth is that I just didn’t eat enough rice as a child. I’m sure it has nothing to do with having two parents who were both shorter than their sibilings.

I’ve been having the bug again. The itch to write. I don’t know the ins and outs of my sudden bouts of inspiration that I seem to get like, oh, only a few times a year, but I feel it coming on. I had story ideas floating in my head after reading this awesome post on Craigslist. Yeah, it involves Jesus. I don’t know what’s with me and writing Jesus stories, but I do. But I’ve also been thinking about taking up the cause of finishing my novel. I even brainstormed about it the other day! I haven’t done any actual writing as of yet, but I will. This is the most creative I’ve been in the last few weeks, as all I have been doing (besides thinking about writing) is working and reading. Maybe all the reading is helping to boost the writing spirit within me.

Venus and Mars strike sparks on your birthday so you can expect some passionate times over the coming 12 months. You can also expect to be rewarded for the efforts you have put in on the work front. Even if you are not particularly ambitious you will be moving up this year – while having fun.
My birthday brought me a Harry Potter themed party, a hangover, time spent with my excellent friends and some delicious eats at The Godfather restaurant. All in all a good birthday. I didn’t even freak out that much about my age. Though, ask me how I feel about it again in two years. Hmm.

For some reason, I magically got my own trash can at work. I came in one day it was sitting under my desk. Ye Gods above decided to bless me. I find it pretty exciting.
