i’m over my stress and moodiness, thank god. being moody is basically totally lame and you can do nothing about it, except be moody. i’m tired. i got the new harry potter game for the wii and it is awesome. then again, i love harry potter things. i might be biased. just a little bit. i almost wrong “just a little bite”. that might be good if i were a vampire. i think i should not write blog posts when i am very tired. my desk is messy. i’m sure i won’t clean it tomorrow. it’s warm. i’m going to sleep. arrr.

ps – i just noticed i wrote “i almost wrong”. awesome. i’m not going to fix it, because i find it amusing.

hello world. what’s up? how’ve you been? oh, yeah, i’ve been okay i guess. i’ve been a bit stressed lately, due to my own overthinking and such but i’m hoping to get over it soon. or at least, figure out how to deal with it and stop being all stressed. it’s just work stuff and client stuff. i was frustrated today because i couldn’t get this site to display properly in firefox or ie (why do people still use ie? le sigh.) and i had to walk away from it for an hour and come back to it and i fixed it. i’m magical. anyway. yeah. stressed out oh and moody too. what freakin fun that is. i hate being moody. it makes me feel generally retarded for getting worked up over nothing and crying for a minute for no reason. hopefully this will pass too with the stressies.

in better news, i finally got a wii! jacob spotted an ad in the paper friday at fry’s for wii bundles (wii + 2 games) and i made my way down after work and obtained myself a shiny new game system. they didn’t have either of the 2 games i actually wanted (harry potter and legend of zelda) so i settled for the rayman game and the prince of persia game. i opened the rayman game and didn’t open the latter since i’m planning on returning it for the beautiful harry potter game. in case you didn’t know, yes, i am a huge harry potter fan. yes, i saw the movie the day it came out. how many days did it take me to finish the 7th book? two days. only because i decided to sleep and go to work. anyway. the wii – i love it. i’m sure i’ll like it more once i get games i really, really want to play. sweet.

also, i went to comic con last month. it was pretty cool, even though i didn’t spent oodles of time there. i got tired of being there and there were so many people and blah blah. it was cool to take a couple days off of work though. that’s always excellent.

hm. i think i have nothing else to report. you may go back to your life now. the end.

observant

after dating for almost four months, my boyfriend just noticed last night that my room is green.

on the flip side, i’ll tell you the story he loves to tell everyone about me. one time i was trying to tell him about some rap song that i had heard once, but i didn’t know the name of it or who sung it, so i described it by saying “they talk about bitches and hos in it.” he laughed hysterically and said, “but they’re all like that.”

the end.

cards and cheesecake

It seems like life has been slow around here but it hasn’t. I just haven’t had much time or energy to keep up my writings. In any case, feast your eyes on this:

Coconut Cheesecake from Tartine

Julia and I checked out this place in Coronado called Tartine – its a European style cafe with outdoor and indoor seating. They sell plenty of baked goods and leave out water bowls for the dogs passing by the cafe. Julia and I each shared the “Brie Wheel” – it came with a warm plate of brie with fruits and nuts and bread along with the mixed green salad which had sliced pears, Gorgonzola cheese, caramelized walnuts and a champagne vinaigrette. Afterwards we had the above coconut cheesecake and each tried a Mexican wedding cookies. The cookies were really excellent, salty, sweet and crunchy and at 50 cents each, I got a half dozen to go.

I also headed up to Long Beach, dragging my boyfriend along for company, and hung up with some fantastic people (including Alyssa, who I always miss!). It was a birthday type celebration and I made this cute card and bought these felt gift card sleeves from an Etsy shop to hold the gift card I bought. Sweet.

Yesterday I of course saw the Harry Potter movie, again dragging said boyfriend. Luckily he seems to willingly come along to things I ask him to go to with me. I thought the movie was good though not as good as the book as it left out things and redid parts and basically makes the movie seem squished to those of us who read the books. I am patiently waiting for Book 7 to come out, which is to say that I can hardly wait for it! Mmm.

Also, today, I got my own DVR. I loves it. the end.

I did this Photo-a-Day swap this past week. I took a really crappy picture one day and forgot another day so I goofed a little, but anyway. Here are my seven photos for the week:

Breakfast I had Sunday morning in Orange, CA with Alyssa. I had grilled meatloaf, scrambled eggs and home fries at P J’s Abbey Restaurant.

Maya sleeping in my bed.

Dewy flowers in the morning.

Smiling, happy dog.

Boyfriend sleeping in my bed.

Self portrait.

Some kind of grate cover on the streets of Coronado, CA.

the everything test

June 27th, 2007 at 7:20 pm

by mary

i saw this on my lj friend’s page and couldn’t resist taking it for some reason.

The Everything Test

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We’re turning that upside down – all the questions affect all the results, and we’ve got some innovative results too! Enjoy 🙂

Personality
You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about others than concerned about self, more atheist than religious, more loner than dependent, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more engineering mind than artistic mind, more cynical than idealist, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

As for specific personality traits, you are romantic (71%), adventurous (69%), innovative (57%).

Stereotypes
Prep 77%
Punk Rock 73%
Young Professional 60%

Life Experience
Sex 38%
Substances 19%
Travel 26%

Politics
Your political views would best be described as Socialist, whom you agree with around 83% of the time.
  Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Middle Class. You make more than 78% of those who have taken this test, and 19% less than the U.S. average.

If your life was a movie, it would be rated PG-13.
By the way, your hottness rank is 52%, hotter than 22% of other test takers.
