It’s December 11th. I should probably “be in the Christmas spirit” by now, but I’m not. I didn’t make any Christmas cards this year, I’m not done shopping, I haven’t even bought cute gift wrap yet. What’s my deal? I have no idea. It doesn’t feel like Christmas to me, but I feel like I say that every year now. Maybe as I get older I less acknowledge the excitement of Christmas and acknowledge more the consumerism behind it all. But I follow the pack. I buy gifts for all of my friends but I try to buy unusal things that fit their likes and personalities. I like trying to find that one something special for each of my friends, whether it be a fun little thing or a handmade gift. It’s too late to start making Christmas cards now and I actually bought a box of cards. For shame! Can I still call myself a crafter after this? Yeah, probably.
