I was at Target today and saw they had bottles of the new Coke on sale for 50 cents each. I figured, hey, if it sucks, I've only missed out on 50 cents.

My first impression was: wow, this is a lot like Diet Coke. But a tad sweeter. It has a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium. I don't think I quite know how to pronouce "acesulfame", but I guess it does a little something to the taste. It doesn't seem really significant to me, but maybe that's because it's been a long time since I drank a diet coke. Or maybe my taste buds are broken. I also think that the new "Dr Pepper Diet Vanilla Cherry" thing tastes like.. well... Dr Pepper, and just has a scary name.

Why does Coke have so many different brands of the same product? Was it really necessary to make another zero calorie Coke product? Do we really need more soda choices? I'll leave that question up to you.

So would I recommend Coke Zero? Not particularly. Either you'll try it or you won't. I don't think it's really that revoluntary or different myself. I've tried some of the other "no calorie" and "one calorie" crazy products that Pepsi and Coke make. Mostly I've tried them because my family bought them and put them in the fridge. I still regret the day I drank Pepsi One. Ugh, that was awful.
