My Protest Story
Written by Poul Suero
Wednesday, 17 May 2006
flagsI was proud to be at the immigration march in NYC on April 1st, 2006. I am an American citizen, but I'm also Peruvian, so I felt compelled to attend the gathering in Brooklyn. Seeing all those people together had an effect on me that I'll never forget. Please let me take a little bit of your time and allow me to tell you my protest story.
The Green Faced Suburban Youth

youthSt. Patrick’s day. Not only indicated by the calendar, but by the fact that the entrance of our house smelled like dog poo three days prior to the event as our Irish Landlady prepared by boiling enough cabbage that all the kids in the cabbage patch would have had to be decapitated. If that wasn't a big enough indication I made the mistake of leaving my office at lunchtime to run a simple errand.

RISK: A Game For Liars and BackstabbersAm I a bitter person? No, I am not. At least not normally. But you my friend have pushed me to my proverbial limit, and I am not a man who uses the word “proverbial” lightly. I keep that word reserved in a special angry-rant box along with other angry-rant words such as “hamper” and “judicial” and “dorkameter.”

A Different Shade of BlueYesterday, it was Friday night and I spent it painting my tiny New York bathroom orange. It was supposed to be this beautiful "Spanish Fiesta" sunset inspired color of bliss and instead it looks like the walls have been plastered with carrot paste. It is now borderline painful to spend any time in there and it almost leads to an actual physical pain. Sitting on my toilet watching my neighbor pee two and a half feet away from me has never been more diminishing.
My Favorite Chicken

My Favorite ChickenGrowing up we had a very large backyard. It was the kind of backyard where you could imagine yourself in various locations such as the jungle or the forest, depending on which part of the yard you were in, without ever having to leave the comfort of home. We also had an old chicken coop which was only used when I was very young.
